I’m a British writer, visual poet and practice-based horror scholar currently living and working in the North East of England.
I completed my PhD in Film, Theatre and Television at Northumbria University, Newcastle in November 2025. Processed through intra-filmic analysis facilitated by intertextual writing practice, my project explores the affective and ideological dimensions of woman-led narratives in British horror cinema of the new millennium.
My debut poetry book, The Second Dream, comprises a sequence of text-based poems collaged from language found in reviews of Jonathan Glazer’s sci-fi/horror film Under the Skin (2013) alongside asemic pieces created in response to the film’s sound design and musical score. It was published by Steel Incisors in March 2024 and nominated for the SFPA’s Elgin Awards in June 2025.
I have been performing at live events in the UK and beyond since 2019. My creative work appears in various places online and in print, including Psycho Holosuite, Tentacular, and eYeland Zine.
